The Kazakh National University of Water Management and Irrigation (KazNUWMI) is a newly established specialized research university, created in 2024 by the decision of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It continues the rich legacy of the former Zhambyl Hydromelioration and Construction Institute (est. 1962), KazNUWMI builds upon national engineering traditions while integrating cutting-edge science, digital innovation, and sustainable development principles.
KazNUWMI’s mission is to train a new generation of specialists and researchers who can ensure effective, environmentally sound, and technologically advanced water management across diverse sectors.
