Academic Faculty Position in Legal Disciplines

About the position

The University invites applications for one full-time faculty position teaching legal disciplines. Applicants should indicate their preferred rank: Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor (Docent), or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Teaching legal subjects within the general education curriculum, including Fundamentals of Law, Anti-Corruption Culture, and related courses.
• Developing and updating course documentation, including syllabi and assessment materials, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the University's internal regulations.
• Providing advisory support to the academic unit and the University on legal matters related to the content of the courses taught.

Requirements

• Higher legal education; an academic degree is desirable.
• Teaching and/or practical legal experience.
• Fluency in Kazakh and Russian.

Key competencies

• Knowledge of the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the ability to adapt legal content for students in non-law programmes.
• Skills in methodological and academic regulatory work, including the development of syllabi and assessment materials.

Selection process

Document review, interview, and delivery of a demonstration class in the subject area.
