Academic Faculty Position in Mathematics

About the position

The University invites applications for one full-time faculty position in Mathematics. This is a fixed-term appointment for one semester. Applicants should indicate their preferred rank: Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor (Docent), or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Mathematics at undergraduate level for one semester.
• Developing the course programme and conducting continuous and mid-term assessment in accordance with national education standards and the University's internal regulations.

Requirements

• Higher education in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience teaching mathematics at a higher education institution is desirable.
• Fluency in Kazakh and Russian.

Key competencies

Strong command of higher mathematics at the level required for technical and economics degree programmes.

Conditions

Full-time employment under a fixed-term contract for one semester.

Selection process

Document review, interview, and delivery of a demonstration class in the subject area.
