About the position

This vacancy is open to candidates across the full academic ladder — from Senior lecture to Professor level (or equivalent). Applicants are required to indicate a preferred title. The final position level will be confirmed by the University's Selection Committee based on the candidate's qualifications, publications, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching courses in the technology of construction and operation of water and land-reclamation systems, maintenance and repair of irrigation systems, diagnostics, and the organization and provision of water supply, at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Developing and regularly updating course syllabi and instructional materials in line with the program's learning objectives and outcomes, and the requirements of state educational standards, national and sectoral qualifications frameworks, and professional standards in agriculture and water management.
  • Updating course content to reflect current directions: digital land reclamation, irrigation control automation, BIM in hydraulic engineering, intelligent irrigation systems, and ESG approaches in water use.
  • Supervising coursework, thesis, and master's research on the design, construction, and operation of irrigation and drainage systems, the mechanization of irrigation works, water-saving technologies, and sustainable water resources management.

Requirements

Требования

Possession of a PhD degree or an equivalent degree in agricultural mechanization, land reclamation and water management, hydraulic engineering, agricultural water supply, operation of land-reclamation systems, or a related field.

  • Candidates from adjacent fields may be considered if their dissertation topic, publications, courses taught, and professional experience relate to the design of construction and reclamation machinery, water and reclamation systems, the organization and mechanization of reclamation and irrigation works, or water-saving technologies.

Professional Competencies

Core Competencies

  • In-depth understanding of the design and operation principles of construction and land-reclamation machinery and equipment used in the construction and operation of irrigation and drainage systems, reclamation facilities, and hydraulic structures; ability to teach the relevant disciplines at a current methodological level.
  • Expertise in the mechanization of irrigation and land-reclamation works: maintenance and repair of pumping stations, irrigation machinery, sprinkler equipment, and water-lifting equipment.
  • Professional competence in organizing the mechanization of water management, managing irrigation norms and regimes, and ensuring the operability of reclamation machinery and equipment, sufficient for teaching and academic supervision.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in land reclamation and agriculture, hydraulic engineering, and the operation of reclamation systems, machinery, and equipment.

Additional Competencies

  • Digital technologies in land reclamation: applying GIS, IoT sensors, and monitoring platforms to manage agricultural and reclamation machinery and equipment.
