About the position
To provide comprehensive legal support for University operations: reviewing and drafting legal documents, managing contractual affairs, and protecting the interests of the organization.
Responsibilities
Conducting legal review of draft contracts, agreements, orders, and other documents.
Independently preparing contracts and memoranda, including those with international partners (in Russian and English).
Developing and updating internal normative documents: policies, regulations, and procedures.
Advising management and departments on legal matters; preparing legal opinions and briefings.
Monitoring changes in the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and informing departments of legal risks.
Managing claims procedures: drafting claims and preparing responses.
Representing the University's interests before government authorities and in courts.
Requirements
Higher legal education.
Minimum 3 years of legal experience, including contract management and claims work.
Knowledge of civil, labor, and administrative legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Experience drafting contracts with international partners — required.
English language proficiency sufficient for drafting and reviewing legal documents.
Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strict adherence to confidentiality.
Proficiency in Kazakh and Russian languages.
Selection process
Stage 1 — Interview with the department head and the HR Department.
Stage 2 — Upon a positive outcome — interview with members of the competition committee.
