The School of Water Supply and Wastewater Management is dedicated to ensuring safe and sustainable water services for communities and urban systems. It focuses on the design, operation, and management of drinking water supply, wastewater treatment, and sewerage infrastructure.

The School plays a central role in improving the quality of life and environmental health of communities through education, applied research, and partnerships with municipalities, industry, and international organisations.

Обязанности

Oversee the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the School's educational programmes;

Lead applied research in water supply systems, wastewater treatment technologies, and sanitation solutions;

Build and maintain partnerships with water utilities, municipal authorities, and international development organisations;

Recruit and develop academic staff, supporting their research and teaching activities;

Ensure compliance with national educational standards and drive quality assurance processes;

Manage the School's budget and resources effectively;

Represent the School in university governance and in external professional forums.

Требования

Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in environmental engineering, water supply, wastewater management, or a related discipline;

Demonstrated research record in water and sanitation technologies or urban water systems;

Leadership and management experience in higher education or applied research organisations;

Knowledge of modern water treatment technologies, smart utility networks, and circular water approaches;

Effective interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills;

Proficiency in English; knowledge of Kazakh and/or Russian is an advantage.
