KazNUWMI was established in response to the challenges of our era — climate change, water scarcity, and the urgent need for sustainable development. Today, we are building an intellectual hub capable of addressing complex issues in water management, providing scientific support for national programs, and integrating science, policy, and practice to ensure Kazakhstan’s water security.
Our goal is clear: to provide scientific support and assistance in the implementation of government programs in the field of water resources, and to train qualified specialists across all levels of professional education — from undergraduate to doctoral, including continuing education programs for professionals.
Our university builds on the rich legacy of the Zhambyl Hydromelioration and Construction Institute and aspires to become a flagship institution for sectoral education and scientific expertise in Central Asia.
