Application and move-in procedure for the student residences of the Kazakh National University of Water Resources and Irrigation.

How to apply

  1. Apply online through the Platonus information system or in person at the Situation Center: Academic Building 2, Room 206.
  2. Prepare and submit the complete set of required documents.
  3. The Situation Center will review and register the documents, determine priority status, and form the accommodation queue.
  4. Pay 50% to 100% of the accommodation fee through the Halyk Bank app and retain proof of payment.
  5. Arrive for move-in on 24–28 August with the original documents and a valid medical certificate.

Required documents

  • Application in the prescribed form.
  • 2 copies of the student's identity document.
  • For students under 18, a copy of one parent's identity document.
  • A document or certificate confirming the residential address.
  • 2 photographs, size 3×4.
  • 2 copies of proof of payment for accommodation.
  • A blue folder containing 10 transparent sleeves.
  • Documents confirming social or benefit eligibility.

Important: at move-in, students must submit Medical Certificate Form No. 27 regarding their epidemiological environment. The certificate is valid for 3 days.

Priority categories

Supporting documents must be provided by students in the following categories:

  • students from large or single-parent families;
  • orphans and children without parental care;
  • students who have lost one parent;
  • students with disabilities;
  • students with a parent who has a disability;
  • other students requiring social support.

About the student residences

The University operates two student residences: Residence No. 1 at 25 Satpayev Street with 186 places, and Residence No. 2 at 28B Satpayev Street with 516 places.

Places are allocated in accordance with Order No. 219 of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 30 December 2022. Decisions are made by a special commission established by Order No. 92 of the Chairman of the Management Board – Rector dated 9 September 2025.

Students receive guidance on residence rules, occupational safety, and fire safety requirements. Student councils operate in the residences, and sports, cultural, and educational activities are regularly organized.
