The School of Water Policy and Public Administration focuses on governance, institutional reform, and policy innovation for sustainable and integrated water resources management.

The School plays a central role in connecting engineering, environmental science, and public administration — fostering the development of effective governance systems, regulatory frameworks, and risk management strategies.

Міндеттер

• Develop and oversee academic programmes in water governance, public administration, water law, and policy;
• Lead and coordinate the School's research on institutional reform, water diplomacy, and climate policy;
• Build partnerships with government ministries, river basin commissions, international organisations, and policy networks;
• Recruit, mentor, and develop academic staff;
• Ensure educational quality, interdisciplinary integration, and relevance to national and regional water challenges;
• Manage the School's budget and contribute to university-level strategic planning;
• Represent the School in governance bodies and in national and international professional forums

Талаптар

Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in public policy, governance, management, law, environmental studies, or a related field;

Proven record of academic excellence and research achievements;

Demonstrated leadership and management experience in higher education or policy institutions;

Expertise in water governance, institutional reform, or climate policy;

Excellent communication, negotiation, and team-building skills;

Proficiency in English; knowledge of Kazakh and/or Russian is an advantage.
