Effective management of shared water resources is essential for ecological balance, social well-being, and regional stability.Recognizing this, KazNUWMI and Corvinus University of Budapest have jointly launched a Double Degree Master’s Programme in Water Resources Management, with a specialization in Water Diplomacy.The programme aims to train a new generation of professionals who can address the challenges of water scarcity, transboundary management, and climate change through an integrated understanding of engineering, economics, and diplomacy.

Programme Structure

Semester 1

KazNUWMI (Taraz, Kazakhstan):

Focus on engineering and water-related disciplines, hydrology, water law, and the management of shared water basins in Central Asia.

From Corvinus University of Budapest — Economist specialized in water governance (specialist in public water governance).
From Kazakh National University of Water Management and Irrigation — Master of Engineering and Technology.
